Version sculpture Roman figure 'Venus of the column', the sculpture was found in Merida, before 1943. The original is currently at the National Museum of Roman Art in Mérida. This is Venus resting on a column, with her legs crossed under a garment which covers her entire body, exposing just the arm, shoulder and right chest. Her hair is worn in a bun at the back and she is wearing a headband. Possibly a plaque. Venus, being the goddess of love and fertility, was always present in the lives of the women to increase the passions of husbands and lovers. The material used in the sculpture is bronze.
